Bases of Royal Netherlands Military Flying School
(nicknamed the Jackson Flying School as headquarters
were based at Jackson airbase in the USA)



Bases used by the RNMFS in the USA.



For the Primary Training on the PT19A the Dutch used Sherman Field at Fort Leavenworth.
After all the student-pilots (320) succesfully concluded their primary training, the PT19s were returned to the USAAF and the students passed on to the Basic Training at Jackson Air Base. At the end of October 1942 the last 16 students together with the last PT-instructors arrived from Fort Leavenworth.

Basic Training at Hinds Airbase not far from Jackson, Mississippi and the Advanced Training at Tallulah Airbase with Forest Field as a reserve. Headquarters of the RNMFS were at Jackson Army Air Base.
