No.322 Squadron in 1943 at Woodvale
On these pages we publish details from the history of one of the most famous Fighter Squadrons of the Royal Netherlands Air Force. The Squadron was established during WW2 in England with Dutch pilots and servants from other countries. After the war the Squadron returned home to become the first fighter unit of the new Royal Netherlands Air Force.
Today the 322 Squadron is still active, now from Leeuwarden AFB and is equipped with F-16 Fighting Falcons. During the Kosovo War a 322 F-16 scored a kill on a Yugoslavian MIG-29 Fulcrum, the first kill since WW2.
