From end may 1944 following pilots of MLD joined the Squadron: Off.Vl.2 G. Boon von Ochsee (MLD) Off.Vl.2 H. Moekardanoe (MLD) Off.Vl.2 F.W.L. Herkenrath (MLD) Off.Vl.2 G.J. Zegers de Beijl (MLD), DSC. was senior officer of 1840 Sq till august 1944. Zegers de Beijl became commander of the Anti Aircraft Gunnery School at Yeovilton. Later he became commander of no. 896 Sq from July 1945-end of WW2
