Operations by 1840 Squadron
In july 1944 the squadron flew from HMS furious actions against the German battleship Tirpitz, which hided in the Alten-Fjord in the upper north of Norway.
In august 1944 the squadron was involved in a second attack on the Tirpitz.
From 01-09-1944 to 31-12-1944 the squadron was occupied with training from HMS Indefatigable.
In january 1945 the squadron did an atack at Palembang airfield (Dutch East Indies)
