crash-440925-01

September 25th 1944
(September 18th 1944)

According to the Cemetery Registers the following men died on 25th September 1944.
Their orginal burial location was in a field between Opheusden and Dodewaard, The Netherlands, about 2 km North of the northern bank of the River Waal and 7 km Southwest of Randwijk.
In the same spot Sgt J. Bosley en Sgt J.W.R. Harris of the Glider Pilot Regiment AAC who died on 18th September 1944 had buried.
These servicemen were radio experts and were to establish a fighter control centre at Wolfheze, The Netherlands, they arrived by glider.

Statements made by civilians who buried the dead from this glider make it acceptable that the glider pilots and the passengers were killed in the same incident, so that the date of death should be September 18th, 1944.
