September 19th 1944

On September 19th 1944 a Stirling EF319 of no.299 Squadron crashed opposite "Rust Wat", Kemperbergerweg, west of Arnhem, Netherlands. at about 1700h.
The casualties were buried at the same spot and reinterred in Arnhem-Oosterbeek War Cemetery in 1945.
The aircrraft was hit by German Flak.
