Crashed: Hit by flak of Flak Abteilung 261and crashed 22.15 at Zuidland (Voorne-Putten), 20 km SW of Rotterdam.

Son of Ralph and Gladys Foster, of Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.

- P/O Robert Leslie Owen RYDER (Observer RAAF), age 25. KIA
Son of Arthur Owen and Florence Gardiner Ryder; Husband of Marjorie Ryder, of Roma, Quennsland, Australia.

- Sgt James Henry REID ( Wop./AG RAF VR), age 21. KIA
Son of James and Jane Reid, of Perth.

- Sgt Sir Charles Thomas Hewitt MAPPIN (AG RAF VR), age 32. KIA
Son of Thomas Wilson Mappin and Violet Mappin; husband of Lady Mappin ( née Gordon Duff).

Those who were killed in action were buried Rotterdam Crooswijk General Cemetery

- Sgt Lawrence Beresford Hamilton HOPE (AG RNZAF) POW number 24510 as W/O in Stalag Kopernikus.
Killed on 19 April 1945 by Allied fighter bombers which attacked the prisoner of war column in which he was marching.
He is buried in The 1939-1945 War Cemetery at Berlin. Age 29.
Son of Percy Douglas and Martha Harriet Hope, of French Pass, Nelson,New Zealand.
