No. 67 Wing

Aircraftsman 1st Class Alfred WOOD (RAF) age 24, son of Mrs F. Wood, of Eastbourne, Sussex.
Washed ashore and buried Rockanje, September 16th 1940.

During the retreat in France, AC1 WOOD went on board of the SS Lancastria in the harbour of St.Nazaire, but in the afternoon of June 17th, the ship was attacked by German aircraft, hit by bombs, after which it sunk.
